Direct Air Cooling - a GREEN Telecom solution

Dantherm's Direct Air Cooling - DAC - is a simple, direct cooling unit designed to remove heat from sensitive electronic equipment in telecom enclosures and cabinets.

Direct cooling system are designed with high-end filters, ensuring an IP54-barrier towards the electronics. The filters are often of Gore type, but can also be other types of hydrophobic filters. The Ingress Protection Barrier of IP54 is designed according to the norm IEC 60529 and protects against dust and splashing water.

Direct Air Cooling principle:

Cold air from ambient sorroundings is drawn through the filter by the fans located behind the filter. The fans turn the air and force it through the supply openings of the unit.

Direct Air Cooling installation:

The Direct Air Cooling principle is best installed in small to medium-sized cabins and rooms. It ventilates the cabinet and keeps the temperature as close to ambient temperature as possible.
